Feasibility Study

The feasibility study has been designed to identify the potential options for wind energy production at a particular site.

The report outlines the potential impacts the various development options may have on all aspects of the environment including: landscape, ecology, hydrology, cultural heritage, shadow flicker, and noise and how these can potentially be mitigated. The assessment will also consider the impacts that both Civil Aviation and Ministry of Defence (MoD) RADAR may have for the proposed development site. The best wind turbine options for the site will be considered, based on wind resource, grid connection potential, and environmental and planning constraints.

An assessment of the potential financial benefits is also included to identify the different costs and returns for each feasible option.
