Over the past 12 months VG Energy has started a new division of the company which is focused on leasing land and developing sites for farmers and landowners who do not wish to invest the capital themselves on a renewable project.

We have created the brand 'WindVestment' for this joint venture which will see the landowner offered a long term income with NO financial input required from them. They will still benefit from the clean renewable energy and a healthy annual income without the expense of the capital layout. We are extremely experienced in wind projects as we recently installed 35% of all wind turbines between 12.5-100kW. We supply a range of wind turbines up to 850kW, so we have the right wind turbine for the wind conditions on your land guaranteeing you income. Many companies with comparable schemes walk away if they do not get planning for their biggest turbines. We don’t as we can offer a wind turbine right down to 50kW and below.

This new product fits extremely well with the original turn-key sales side of our business, as quite often the landowner may not wish to take the risk of the development or may not be able to fund a large development themselves and would rather partner with VG Energy. The landowner must meet certain criteria on the proposed renewable development site, but these are quickly found out by our team in the planning office. From the successful feasibility study a free site survey is carried out to assess the logistics of the site. If that is successful then an agreement is drawn up between the landowner and VG Energy. We carry out all the planning and grid connection studies in house and we have the market leading returns to landowners and farmers for viable WindVestment sites.
