CCC is a family-run business that has been based on Merseyside since 1998 and has grown to become one of the North West’s leading waste management operators.
Its development has been driven through expertise and partnerships built with the region’s councils, house builders, demolition experts, civil engineers and construction companies.
Today its main business activities are in skip hire, waste management, recycled and quarried aggregates and a new biomass division.
4 x 990kW (RHK AK 990) biomass boilers with an integrated drying floor
CCC Waste management’s skip business generates up to 10,000 tonnes of waste wood annually which, before this installation, was segregated and sent on to wood recyclers at considerable cost.
The aim of this substantial investment was to save the business money by reducing transport and fuel costs, lessening the impact of moving the waste on the environment and creating valuable new income streams through an additional business venture.
VG Energy supplied and installed four Heizomart biomass boilers and a Lauber Lenz drying floor for the business at its Kirkby site, near Liverpool.
With the biomass boilers being fuelled with Grade A/B waste wood the business can look forward to a sustainable future. The heat from the drying floors also allows the business to dry various products from its own aggregates and sands, opening up new commercial opportunities.
Having adopted high quality, efficient green technology, the firm is also benefiting from the government-backed RHI scheme, supplementing its investment.
Modern, efficient green technology means reduced operating costs for the business.
The installation of the biomass systems coupled with drying floors has created a whole new business venture, generating new income streams.
Guaranteed 20 year income through the RHI scheme.
The investment demonstrates our client’s clear commitment to be a greener and more environmentally friendly organisation, reducing its reliance on fossil fuels.
